Actress Kim So-eun and Suwon FC’s Jung Dong-ho Reportedly Dating for Over a Year
A new celebrity-athlete couple has entered the spotlight in South Korea. According to an exclusive report by Ilgan Sports on April 23, actress Kim So-eun and professional footballer Jung Dong-ho of K League 1 club Suwon FC have been dating for over a year.
The couple reportedly began their relationship in March 2024. Born in 1989, Kim is one year older than Jung, who was born in 1990—making them a charming noona-dongsaeng (older woman, younger man) couple. Sources say the two are dating with marriage in mind.
Their romance has blossomed through frequent travels together, including overseas trips to destinations like Japan and Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia. Eagle-eyed fans have also spotted matching rings on their respective social media accounts, subtly hinting at their relationship status.
The two first met through a mutual connection: former footballer Heo Beom-san, who introduced them during a social golf gathering. Jung Dong-ho reportedly fell for Kim So-eun at first sight and pursued her with sincerity, eventually winning her heart.
As of now, Kim So-eun is not signed to any entertainment agency, having parted ways with Ascendio Entertainment in September last year. She last appeared on the SBS variety show Dolsing Fourmen in December, updating fans on her career and life.
Jung Dong-ho began his professional career in 2009 with Yokohama F. Marinos in Japan’s J1 League. He represented South Korea in the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup and joined the national team in 2015. Since 2021, he has been a key defender for Suwon FC.
